Engage24 Live Worship From Ireland
Let me tell you the story behind this album…
Engage24 (now c-hop.co.uk) is an intercessory worship event I have been involved with since early 2000. My good friend Ian Hannah had this wild idea to get some local worship leaders together (Mildred Rainey, Kathryn Scott, myself and others) to do a one off 24 hour night and day worship gig.
That event had such an impact locally that it quickly developed into a regular monthly happening in Coleraine and has since inspired many other similar prayer initiatives in Ireland and beyond.
The word about what God was doing through it got out and this led to this album being recorded by EMI/Kingsway.
The feedback from this recording has been phenomenal. At one gig recently where I was leading worship a guy came up to me afterwards and told me that he had recently come to faith and in just listening to the album he was spontaneously filled with the spirit an began praying in tongues.
Physical healings during Engage sessions…
Another person told me that a line from the song “Lord You Are My Righteousness” (track 9) really helped her to connect with God in the midst of grieving for her friend who was tragically killed in a car crash. It was the line ‘how can I keep silent Lord, even stones obey your word and give to you their praise’.
And at a recent Engage session a guy who had been suffering from M.E. for 2 years was instantly healed in the middle of the session I was leading. No-one even directly prayed for him – amazing! And that isn’t the first time this sort of thing has happened.
11 people came to faith after the album recording!
When we do these extended Engage intercessory worship sessions in a church building or other venue we’re often told that it seems that there is residual sense of the ‘tangible’ presence of God that remains afterwards. On the weekend of the live recording we heard that eleven people became Christians during the church meeting on the day after Engage ended.
Here’s why I think you should grab a copy quick!
These are just some of the stories that we have heard about these songs and the Engage sessions and it’s for this reason that I want to encourage you to get your copy of the album. Don’t get me wrong, I like selling albums as much as the next guy but knowing the effect these songs and this recording has had on others I’d love to hear your story too.
‘Worship Released’ Review:
On first listening to this album it struck me as an album containing much heart-felt passionate worship. It is described as an album that ‘is the sound of Praise…..and is the sound of worship,’ and I think I would agree. It is a live album so is not what I would call just ‘feature songs’ but it includes the ‘ad lib’ times as well as prayers from different people. In a way when you listen to the album all the way through, it kind of feels like you are actually part of the congregation and it is good for reflective worship.
A brilliantly put together album, with a great mixture of tracks, prayers and ad lib worship!
‘Gold USA’ Review:
“Something very special is happening in Coleraine in Northern Ireland and this live worship album was recorded during the monthly 24-hour worship event Engage24. Worship leaders Ian Hannah and Andy Rogers are creating a new sound fusing their distinctive worship songs with the colours and flavours of Celtic music to create something that explodes with life and vitality. From the swathes of sound that underpin anthems like He Is Yahweh and Show Us Your Glory to a quieter moment like Lord You Are My Righteousness, this is an incredible worship experience.
Engage24 is a landmark album.”

'I've known Andy for 18 years - both as a worship leader in the church I attended as a teenager, and then as a friend and co-leader as we grew a little older together.
